Impact Of Death Anxiety On Quality Of Life Among Deadly Diseases Patients And Healthy Persons

Abstract

To determine the effect of Death Anxiety on Quality of Life among patients of different diseases and Healthy Persons and find the relationship between death anxiety and quality of life. This is quantitative cross sectional study that includes the sample size of 540, which includes 270 patients that were taken from different hospitals of Haripur and Abbottabad and 270 were healthy persons that were taken from teachers and students of different colleges and universities (males and females) by using multistage sampling technique. Templer’s Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) and Quality of Life Scale (QOLS) were used for data collection. Results shows that death anxiety negatively affect the quality of life among patients and healthy persons as shown by β= -0.86 and R2= 0.75 that shows strong negative relationship and negative impact of death anxiety on quality of life. Death anxiety negatively predicts quality of life among deadly diseases patients and healthy persons.
