Role of Parents’ Financially Support and Parents’ Motivation in Students’ Academic Achievement

Abstract

The objective of the study to investigate the role of parents’ financially support and parents’ motivation in students’ academic achievement. Quantitative research design with descriptive approach was carried out for research. The population of study was all the (boys & girls) secondary students from public sector of district RahimYar khan. Through multistage sampling technique, 40 schools from all four tehsils of district RahimYar khan was selected keeping in view the boys/girls students, after that at least 10 students from each school were selected. Data were collected from 400 secondary school students with the help of a self-developed questionnaire. Collected data were entered for analysis into statistical package of social sciences (SPSS). Mean, S.D, Independent samples t-test and correlation were applied. Results of the study indicated that domestic environment and its subsidiary factors had significant effect on their academic achievement. This research will help the parents and teachers to understand that how parental financially and parents motivation plays a fundamental and significant role in academic achievement of students.
